I had thought I would move them into the ground soon after I moved, so I didn't give them much potting mix. But that didn't happen. They have developed very good roots, despite sitting in loose and shallow soil.
Finally, today is the day of action! We decided to plant them along the front garden edge. Most plants in this garden bed are drought-tolerant, so they would fit in well.
There are two different colours, one pure dark green and the other with purple stripes.
I don't think it looks very impressive at the moment. Hopefully they will settle well and start to look brighter and better shape!
Looks like the stones need to be rearranged by colour. Somehow the former resident did not use the same type of stones so they look a bit inconsistant.
I like the shape of your garden bed.
ReplyDeleteHa, thanks. it sort of has to be this shape because of the driveway.
ReplyDeleteGreat rocks, they look heavy.
ReplyDeleteI bet there are - lucky I wasn't the one building this garden.
ReplyDeletei used to have these plants. very hardy and tolerant. can take over if not careful though.
ReplyDeleteYes I thought they looked great a few years back but the went everywhere and ripped them all out. Not a plant I would recogmend.
ReplyDeleter they real rocks or plastic ones?
ReplyDeleteu should try diverting the water from the gutter on the street into your garden. free water!
