Veggie patch update

Finally mulched the vegetable garden with sugar can mulch. Lettuce seeds planted just after Christmas didn't do anything, so I just covered over everything. More seeds are now being raised in trays - I find this much better rate of germination.

Some good news: zucchini is starting to flower!
Also bought some seed raising equipments. That'll be the job later in the week.

  4. my grnadmother once gave me some good gardening tips.
    1. Fill your pots with dirt wherever it’s convenient for you
    2. A good way to save money on plants is to buy weak or sick plants from the discount bin
    3. Dirt is dirt. Buy whatever is cheapest

  5. Good tips. I guess gardening is not the best activity to get fit. A lot of bending is not good for the back.

  6. Just because those people attributed their bad backs to gardening doesn't mean it's true.

Later in the article Dr Skew confirms that gardening is good exercise, as long as you work within your body's physical limits.
