After one month’s recovery from their transplant shock – a big shock indeed being out of ground sitting in the sun for hours before planting -, today, finally here comes the first bloom, a crimson coloured flower! The flower isn’t as big as I expected. When I last saw them bloom, the petals were wider and longer. I’m not sure whether it is because of the transplanting or something else. I did use brand new premium potting mix. Perhaps a little more watering will help as these pots sit next to a window and the rain doesn’t always blow in far enough to reach them.
I am looking forward to seeing the next flower. Two in the next pot are also budding. I can’t wait to see their colour and performance.
