Sunflower

A friend gave me a handful of sunflower seeds. They are mixed varieties, which can be told by the different-looking seeds.
Out of curiosity, I am going to plant two different looking seeds in two pots and mark one, to see how different they will become.

I dropped a white stone in one pot. This is going to host one of the whiter seeds. The other pot will have a black seed.
Let's wait and see what happens... .

  2. Is it? My friend who gave them to me said they are different varieties. Anyway, I will still wait and see what happens. :) It shouldn't take long for sunflowers to grow.

  5. Sorry, maybe it was my misuse of the word "variety" as I'm not really clear what the differences are or just used it without thinking. Is a hybrid a cross between two varieties/more?
