First time seeing Gazania seeds

When I was watering gazania in the SW corner this morning, I discovered these seeds on top of one dead flower. I am not sure how many each flower produces, but when I saw them there were about 10 still on the dead tip of the flower.
There is a bare section in this row of gazania, so I simply sowed these seeds here. I didn't care much about how I sowed them because it was too hard to dig in this spot (the gazania plants are just growing out of the mulching layer). I only scraped a little of the top mulch, to make sure the feathery seeds don't get blown away somewhere else easily, and watered them in.
See how they go. I have had no experience of growing gazania from seeds. I might look up how long it normally takes to see them sprouting.

  2. i looked it up. a weed is a plant growing where it is not wanted. i guess that if you want the plant, then it is not a weed.

  3. I've been away with work. Wish I had the time you have had to put into the garden. Your doing great with propagation.

  4. if you are look for a really tough and hardy grass, you should consider using nut grass for your lawn.

  5. Thanks Ninrod. When I was working full time at one point, I used to garden on the weekend as recreation. I could spend half a day in it and enjoy being tired but harvesting the good result at the same time!
To Chris: I am actually trying to get rid off all nut grass in my garden. I'm happy with my choice of grass.
